The real costs of a grant and trust fundraiser

Here’s a real-life post that appeared in an online fundraising forum. Do you see any ‘red flags’?

“The real costs of a grant and trust fundraiser”

I run a small charity called ______  in which we have just completed our business plan.

We have concluded that:
We need to raise the funds to employ a fundraiser.
We need to know how much we need to raise.
We have talked to other similar organisations, who agree that we need a trust fundraiser as opposed to a corporate or event fundraiser.

I would be interested to hear your thoughts on this.

What I could use your help with is understanding the real costs. We think we are looking at a salary of £24,000-£27,000, but what are the other associated costs? (national insurance, pension, office costs, etc)?

Any help would be truly appreciated.

If you’re attending too, and interested in a nearby meetup before the show (say 6pm), give me a shout!
