Confident Philanthropy Ltd was founded by Rick Holland, whose fundraising and nonprofit experience spans decades, raising millions for regional, national, and global organisations.

Rick began his not-for-profit career in America, leading fundraising efforts at social service, environmental, and cultural organisations in the USA, the UK and beyond, developing, implementing, and evaluating strategies to build relationships with key individual donors, businesses, and volunteers.

In addition, Rick is the only dual US-UK professional in Britain to have been awarded the CFRE (Certified Fund-Raising Executive) credential, which he first attained in 2005.

Rick has written and contributed to Third Sector, ArtsProfessional, the Morning Call, and Beatlefan, among other publications, and in addition, Rick has addressed international conference delegates in the US, the UK and in Europe. He’s an outspoken advocate for increasing transparency and developing a global culture of compassionate giving.

Rick Holland is a member of Rogare (the international fundraising thinktank), the Chartered Institute of Fundraising, the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), and Mensa.

Rick Holland has become more than a professional business partner. We feel that he has become part of our executive team in building international relationships that we would not be able to do without his assistance. It is a privilege to consider Confident Philanthropy as part of our intellectual arsenal in our company.
